Isolated

I’m isolated.
I love my girlfriend and my daughter, but they can’t help me develop ideas. The Internet is just too damn slow, to develop ideas across. At work, there’s one person who I can develop ideas with. We get one hour a week. IRC doesn’t work; We really need something more like OverHear.
A sea of intelligence, computers, and people, and nobody to talk with. Isolation is death. I can’t go anywhere like this. I have good ideas, and the ability to work them, but isolated like this, they cannot refine, bounce, invigorate, get passion. The Internet is horrific — It’s like a trap. It’s like a specially designed mouse cage: There’s cheese right outside the mouse cage, and you can, if you poke your head out just right, really really hard, you can get little nibbles of the cheese — but it’s going to poke you with a lot of sharp ends as you do so, and even leaves permanent scar marks [..]
